1. What do we talk about in our initial phone call?
During your initial call your therapist will ask about:

2. How long do I need to be in therapy?
This all depends on you and the amount of work you put in toward improvement. A more proactive approach is better likely to achieve faster results.
3. How long is each appointment?
Each session lasts 45 minutes. Longer sessions are offered at a separate rate.
4. Do you give advice?
Our objective is not to give you advice but rather to explore your possible options and expected results. Therapy is collaborative and exploratory, and we hope to provide you with practical tools that you can implement into your daily life.
5. Is therapy in-person or telehealth?
All services are done via Telehealth to provide easy accessibility in the privacy of your own space.
6. What is the cost of therapy?
Services range from $250 to $175 per session depending on the clinician.

If you have a PPO plan that is not with an insurance listed above, we are happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
7. What happens in the First four sessions?
We will ask you questions to get to know more about you and the challenges you are facing. We will explain our approach as well as what to expect in terms of short and long-term achievements. If we determine that the challenges are not within our scope of practice, we will provide you with referrals that better suit your needs.
8. What makes HTHC different?
We approach therapy from a place of authenticity. We believe that a therapist and a client must be a good fit in order for you to really dig deep and be willing to step out of your comfort zone for your hard work to be successful.
9. Are there times when a therapist and a client aren't a good fit?
It has happened, and that’s okay! One of the reasons we do a four session assessment is to determine exactly that. If you meet with a therapist and it doesn't feel like a good fit, we are happy to transfer you to another therapist on our staff or provide outside referrals.
DISCLAIMER: We reserve the right to refuse services to any person at any time who we deem to have needs out of our scope of practice (personality disorders & psychotic disorders), disrespectful and harassing of staff, or any other reason that will either violate our practice standards or for private reasons. You will immediately be referred to another practitioner for continued work. We will provide at least one referral resource. You can also visit PsychologyToday.com for a list of other providers.
10. Things to know about our Appointment and cancelation policies:
Please note if you arrive late to your session, your session will still end at the originally anticipated time. You will not be able to make up that time.
Please know that you are given a 15 minute grace period. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your session, your therapist has the discretion to cancel session and you will be charged for no show or late cancelation.
Getting reminder texts and emails apart from the link is a courtesy. Please note that it is your responsibility to remember your session date and time. Since it is automated, technical challenges happen, which are out of our control. This is why we recommend setting reminders for your own appointment times and days.
You are responsible for any session(s) for which you failed to give your therapist at least 24 hours notice of cancellation or failure to show. Each late cancelation or no show appointment will result in a $100.00 fee.
Please note there will be times that the clinicians you have are faced with crisis or emergencies. Please note that we ask for flexibility regarding such challenges as unprecedented events due occur.
Should your therapist go on vacation or be out of office for an extended time, one of our staff members will offer emergency coverage for the time that your therapist is away.
Please be aware that from time to time your therapist may run behind on sessions. Please allow for a small cushion of time in the event of delays
11. Information about Confidentiality:
All information and communication disclosed by you will be held in strict confidence, unless you provide written information to release information OR except where required or permitted by law. If you participate in marital or family therapy, confidential information will not be disclosed unless all person(s) who participated in the treatment with you provide written authorization for release.
There are exceptions to confidentiality. For example, therapists are required to report instances of suspected child, dependent adult or elder abuse. Therapists may also be required or permitted to break confidentiality when they have determined that a patient presents a serious danger of physical violence to another person or when a patient is dangerous to themselves.
If you participate in marital or family therapy, your therapist will not disclose confidential information about your treatment unless all person(s) who participated in the treatment with you provide their written authorization to release such information. However, it is important that you know that your therapist utilizes a “no-secrets” policy when conducting family or marital/couples therapy. This means that if you participate in family, and/or marital/couples therapy, your therapist is permitted to use information obtained in an individual session that you may have had with him or her, when working with other members of your family.
Communications between therapists and patients who are minors (under the age of 18) are confidential. However, parents and other guardians who provide authorization for their child’s treatment are often involved in their treatment. Consequently, your therapist, in the exercise of his or her professional judgment, may discuss the treatment progress of a minor patient with the parent or caretaker.
